Saturday, 5/3/86, around 7:30 pm

Incident started on park property.  Ranger went to assist R.L.Z., who
was in stuck vehicle.  Went back to patrol vehicle to check plate cuz
R.L.Z. gave him "John Doe". R.L.Z. fled into woods w/ shotgun.  Ranger
called for backup.  Area sealed and truck impounded.  Heard shots later
on. Found R.L.Z. next morning in woods.  Shot self w/ .357.

Investigation still going on.
