The victim said he had none at which point the assailant pulled out a knife, cutting the victim on the left forearm. The assailant crossed Valley Creek on the foot bridge and was last seen walking north on Hwy 252. NPS is conducting an investigation but there are no leads at this time. The victim did not report the accident for two hours, after taking himself to the hospital in Phoenixville, PA. Persons involved: Name Address DOB or age J.S.S. Reported by: Dave Blackburn, Division of Ranger Activities, NCR Received by: William Halainen, Division of Ranger Activities, WASO Summary: USPP arrested 183 demonstrators on GW Parkway and north entrance to CIA base. Individuals were taken to Anacostia facility, and charged with demonstrating without a permit. They could post $75 colateral or appear before magistrate or forfeit. Twenty chose to appear before the magistrate as of late on 4/27. Demonstration generally of a peaceful nature, held due to government's Latin American and South African policies. Demonstration involved approximately 1,100 demonstrators. He was pronounced dead of a broken neck. He had been an employee of the Park Service for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, V. and 4 year-old daughter. Tumacacori 10/19/52 FIELD INCIDENT REPORT Log number: 87-60 Date/time of incident: 4/27,noon Date/time received: 4/28 Park: Yosemite Location: Reported by: Jenny Hinson, Division of Ranger Activities, WRO Received by: William Halainen, Division of Ranger Activities, WASO Summary: Park visitor happened to stop on road 2000' south of Bishop Creek on US Hwy 41, looked over edge and saw evidence of where a vehicle had passed over the edge. Visitor reported it to the park. Rangers found vehicle 100' below, victim's body was found an additional 100' feet below the car. A suicide note was found in the vehicle dated 4/21 (probable date of accident). B.J.J. apparently survived impact of vehicle landing and jumped from that point.
