Burlington, Wisconsin 28 FIELD INCIDENT REPORT Log number: 87-99 Date/time of incident: 6/12, 1:20 am Date/time received: 6/12, 3 pm Park: Blue Ridge Parkway Location: Milepost 110.9 Reported by: Don Russell, Law Enforcement Specialist, SERO Received by: Bill Halainen, Ranger Activities, WASO Summary: Ms. K.F.B. was one of three passengers in a vehicle being driven by Mr. T.P.. The vehicle was headed north on the parkway at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and went off the road. All four were thrown from the vehicle, which rolled over. T.P. suffered broken ribs; two passengers had minor injuries; K.F.B. was killed. No evidence of excessive alcohol, but a blood alcohol test will be performed on the driver. The aircraft sustained substantial damage, but there were no injuries. The pilot was working for Enchanted Lake Lodge. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
