The Park Police were asked to close 15th Street, SW, to traffic between Independence and Maine Avenues. It is reported by radio reporters for station WWRC that the man is alleged to have gone into the the building, which is a Department of Agriculture structure which houses 184 employees. The building is being evacuated and the Metro police have closed 14th Street and the 14th Street bridge to Virginia. There are unconfirmed reports of a possible bomb threat directed at the Holocaust Memorial site, but the buildings at that location have already been razed, casting doubt on the validity of the rumor.
