Reynolds, Chief Ranger,NARO Received by: William Halainen, WASO Summary: C.M., a seasonal lifeguard, suffered severe injury while riding his bicycle on his days off. He had just passed the entrance station when a vehicle pulled out of Lot B and struck him. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 23-year-old J.A.P. of Oakhurst, NJ. C.M. suffered a broken collar bone & ribs, a concussion, lacerations and lost all of his teeth. He underwent surgery last night. He received 100 stitches to his face and required 300 stitches to reattach his ear. His condition is stable as of today. Investigation of the incident is ongoing.
