Day/date: June 23, 1988 RANGER ACTIVITIES DIVISION FIELD INCIDENT REPORT Incident type: Self-inflicted Wounds to Visitor Log number: 88-115 Date/time of incident: 6/22, 11 am Date/time received: 6/23, 7 am Park: Valley Forge Location: Model Airplane Field Reported by: Ginny Paci, RAD, MARO Received by: Bill Halainen, RAD, WASO Incident Summary Late on the morning of the 22nd, 65-year-old H.H.S. of Devon, Pennsylvania, walked approximately 200 yards from his vehicle into a field off Route 52, stabbed himself several times, then staggered back to his car. Someone spotted him and called park rangers and the Tedyfren Police Department. H.H.S. was transported by helicopter to a hospital. He was alive when he left the park, but there's been no word regarding his current condition. Upon investigation, it was learned that he'd been reported missing by his wife earlier that morning.
