INCIDENTS
89-3 - Blue Ridge - Apparent Suicide
On January 8th, at 12:30 pm, the body of W.F.B., 74, of Pisga
Forest, North Carolina was discovered in his locked vehicle at the Cradle of
Forestry Overlook on the Parkway. W.F.B. died of an apparent self-inflicted
gun shot wound and was found with an automatic handgun, a suicide
note and family photos at his side. W.F.B. had been a seasonal employee of
a Parkway concessioner.
OFFICE NOTES
1) Captain Michael Healey has been selected for the law enforcement
specialist's position in Ranger Activities. Prior to his current assignment
in US Park Police headquarters, Mike was the regional law enforcement
specialist for North Atlantic Region.
