FIRE ACTIVITY
No fire activity of any kind has been reported in the past 24 hours.
OFFICE NOTES
1) Emergency Fire Fighter AD-1 through AD-4 rates now specifically cover
"floods, storms, or any other emergency." DOI Personnel Management Bulletin
Number 89-64 (532), effective April 1, states that parks can hire and pay
emergency search and rescue personnel just as they would for fires. (Butch
Farabee, RAD/WASO).
2) Bill Orlando from C&O Canal will be in on detail to RAD today and
tomorrow reviewing public comments on the proposed seatbelt regulation.

STAFF STATUS
Belli in Denver all week with NPS-77 grazing work group; Loach on
AL through Friday.
