3) FIRE ACTIVITY - 261 fires for 859 acres in last 24 hours.

4) ANALYSIS - Thunderstorm activity continues throughout the West.
Most new ignitions are being caught by initial attack forces.
Infrared aircraft were sent to Canada last night.

5) PROGNOSIS - Fire activity and holdover fires are expected to increase
due to yesterday's lightning activity and forecast higher temperatures,
lower humidities and increased winds. No resource shortages are
anticipated.
