OFFICE NOTES

1) Delivery of the 1990 Golden Eagle Passes and Golden Age Passports to
regional offices will be delayed until at least November 30th. The printing
contractor who was preparing the passes and passports has declared financial
insolvency, and GPO's efforts to rebid the contract have been unsuccessful.
GPO will therefore be printing them in-house. The revised 1990 federal
recreation passport program pamphlets have been printed and are now being
shipped by another printing contractor. Golden Access Passports will be
shipped next week.

2) As a result of Hurricane Hugo, 112 NPS families were left without
everyday necessities. In an effort to assist these families and also
provide funds to parks which were heavily damaged by the storm, SERO has
asked ENPMA to establish a Hurricane Hugo Recovery Program. If you're
interested in contributing to this fund, you can mail donations to: Eastern
National, Hurricane Hugo Recovery Program, 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 1212,
Philadelphia, PA 19106.

3) Paul Broyles (Branch of Fire Management, Boise) and Hal Grovert (Chief
Ranger, Fort McHenry) will be in WASO Tuesday and Wednesday to work with
Personnel on 20-year-retirement issues.
