OFFICE NOTES
1) We encourage field areas to continue to report all significant drug-
related incidents to this office for inclusion in the morning report. We
would particularly like to highlight those which involve the use of
possession of weapons or the use, possession or manufacture of booby traps.
Any drug-related assault on a ranger, visitor or other law enforcement
officer within NPS jurisdiction should be reported as well. We also need to
know about ARPA cases and any arrests or convictions related to these acts.
Please mention weapons if appropriate and any harassment to visitors or NPS
employees related to ARPA cases. We use this information regularly to
document the need for additional resources. Along with being very
informative, the morning report is a handy historical reference of visitor
protection activities in the parks. (Bob Marriott, RAD/WASO)
