INCIDENTS
91-673 - Coronado (Arizona) - Assist on Drug Seizure
Early on the afternoon of December 28th, rangers Bill Smith and Scott Sticha
discovered a cache containing from 250 to 300 pounds of marijuana at a
location just west of the park's boundary. They notified DEA, kept the site
under observation for some time, then seized the marijuana, which had
apparently been abandoned. The drugs may have come from a broken-down
vehicle which was found near the location a week earlier. Drug dogs had
alerted on the car's trunk at that time, but the trunk was found to be
empty. DEA is processing the drugs. More details may be available later.
