INCIDENTS

94-91 - New River Gorge (West Virginia) - Kidnapping and Assault

On the evening of February 23rd, a woman was kidnapped from a Wal-Mart
parking lot in Beckley, beaten at knife point, forced into her car, driven
to the Meadow Creek area of the park, then sexually assaulted.  After her
assailant departed, the woman walked to a local store and called for help. 
Meanwhile, her attacker, identified as B.J.H. of Christanburg,
Virginia, drove her car to I-81 in Virginia, abandoned it along the
roadside, stole another car, and assaulted two other individuals.  A joint
investigation involving West Virginia state troopers, Beckley police, FBI
agents and NPS investigators is underway.  B.J.H. is a white male, 5'7"
tall, weighs 155 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.  His social
security number is 223-02-0150.  He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a
black hat with writing on it.  B.H.H. has a prior conviction for murder and
should be considered armed and dangerous.  [Chris Schrader, CI, NERI, 2/28]

94-92 - Martin Luther King (Georgia) - Armed Robbery

I.P., 24, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, was accosted by a
gunman near the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center on the afternoon of
February 25th.  The man placed a handgun to I.P.'s head and took his
camcorder, wallet, camera, watch and radio/cassette player.  The total value
of items taken, including cash, has been placed at $1,390.  The robber
escaped in a blue Chevrolet.  Investigation by Atlanta police is continuing.

94-93 - Timpanogos Cave (Utah) - Burglary

An intrusion alarm sounded at the park visitor center at 1 a.m. on February
27th.  The responding ranger and county canine unit arrived within minutes. 
They found that a large glass panel in the front door had been smashed and
that a thief had stolen a programmable telephone valued at $200 and fled the
area.  An investigation is underway.  [Kathy Brown, CR, TICA, 2/28]

1) RMP Reports - SECOND NOTICE: Parks should now be completing annual
updates of their automated resource management plan (RMP) software for
submission to regional RMP coordinators.  The regional RMP data is due in
WASO by March 15th.  All parks should be using version 2.03E of the RMP
software.  Questions regarding this program may be directed to any member of
the RMP software technical support team:
