INCIDENTS
95-720 - Obed (Tennessee) - Arson/Vandalism
On three occasions during the past two months, acts of possibly related arson
and vandalism have occurred in the park. Chemical toilets, stairs and a
bulletin board were burned at three sites, signs and bulletin boards wee felled
at five sites, five fires were set in a three-acre wooded lot, and a visitor's
vehicle was vandalized and property was stolen from it. Federal, state and
local officials are investigating the incidents. [Monika Mayr, Unit Manager,

OPERATIONAL NOTES
1) Resource Awards - Requests for nominations for the Director's Awards for
Natural Resources Management, Natural Resources Stewardship, and Superintendent
of the Year for Natural Resources Stewardship were mailed to all areas during
the week of October 23rd. Nominations are due to the Associate Director,
Natural Resource Stewardship and Science, by January 5th. Copies of the
nomination forms are available in WP 5.1 from Debby Peck via cc:Mail. [Debby

2) Uniform Ordering - The uniform program has been funded and R&R Uniforms has
completed the necessary activities associated with transition to the new fiscal
year. Orders may accordingly be submitted. If, however, you are in an area
with a new organizational code, please contact your park or office uniform

3) Information Request - Delaware Water Gap is interested in hearing from any
