96-665 - President's Park (DC) - Special Event
On Monday, November 25th, "Tipper" Gore participated in the placing of the
top ornament on the national Christmas tree. This signals the beginning of
preparations for the lighting of the tree by President Clinton on December
5th. [Margaret Chandler, PRPA]
OPERATIONAL NOTES
Departmental Awards - The DOI awards committee is seeking comments from the
field on the revised Department of Interior awards program instituted last
year. The committee will next convene during the first week in December, but
comments are welcome at any time and will be considered at subsequent
committee meetings. Anyone wishing to comment may cc:Mail their remarks to
