OPERATIONAL NOTES

Film Permit Violations - On March 18th, the Morning Report carried an
informational note to the field about problems that Lake Meredith NRA had
with VERA Television of Amsterdam, Netherlands, regarding payment for a
filming permit in the park.  The park subsequently received messages from a
number of other parks where VERA was scheduled to film in the near future. 
Upon seeing the Morning Report entry, they required performance bonds from
the company before filming could begin and would not allow any shooting until
VERA paid off its debt to Lake Meredith.  The park received a check from VERA
on April 17th.  The park extends its thanks to the staff at Theodore
Roosevelt NP and Chamizal NM for their help on this matter.  This issue has
now been resolved to the government's satisfaction.  [Dale Thompson, CR,

Cooperative Education MOU - A memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the
development of cooperative education programs was signed yesterday by the NPS
and NASA's Goddard Flight Center.  Goddard has also agreed to provide
satellite imagery and digital images to the Service.  The MOU encourages
cooperation in the development of projects such as video productions, joint
publications, exhibits, and training.  For further information, contact Bob
