Details: The facility management software system project is beginning the
process of implementing the new Maximo software nationwide. The
work group members will participate in the implementation
process. Members are sought for five work groups - facility
management plan director's orders and guidelines; facility
management software system; training program; inventory and
condition assessment plan (asset management program);

Course: Natural Resources Law and Policy for Superintendents
Location: Washington, DC
Details: The course covers legal topics essential for park protection and
steering clear of lawsuits. The course will also cover the
National Parks Omnibus Act of 1998, which explicitly states that
a significant factor in performance reviews of superintendents
shall be the condition of park resources. All superintendents,

Seminar: Interpreting the Civil War Through Current Scholarship and
Electronic Access
Location: University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA

Details: The second edition of this leadership course focuses on strategic
thinking necessary as a member of a management team.
