Location: Prescott, AZ
Details: Joint interagency conservation law enforcement

This annual conference is attended by about 225
officers and provides opportunities to share

Details: Forty-hour hands-on course dealing with design,
production and printing of park publications,
including site bulletins, newspapers, posters and
others. Subjects will include design principles,
layout, typography, image preparation, maps, printing
preparation, computer programs and working with
printers. The course will not deal with writing or
editing. Participants must bring a laptop with
Microsoft Word, Adobe PageMaker, Illustrator,
Photoshop, and a CD ROM drive. Open to those who

Course: SERVICEWIDE BASIC TECHNICAL RESCUE TRAINING
Location: Canyonlands NP, UT
Details: Course for personnel who routinely evacuate injured or
stranded persons from heights and difficult terrain.
It will provide participants with the skills to
perform difficult technical rescues. Students will be
required to bring technical gear, including a seat
harness, climbing helmet, carabiners, rappel rack,
ascenders, etc. This is a very physically demanding
course conducted outdoors with frequent exposure to
great heights. All participants must be in good
physical condition. Target participants are permanent
or seasonal personnel who have an active role in a
technical rescue program. Class size is 40
participants. No tuition.
