NATIONAL PARK SERVICE MORNING REPORT BLACKBERRY EDITION Friday, April 28, 2006 =============================================================================================================== INCIDENTS Blue Ridge Parkway Assault and Robbery A 29-yearold man from Asheville, North Carolina, was assaulted and robbed while taking pictures at the Haw Creek Valley overlook on Tuesday, April 25th. He told rangers that two men in a Toyota truck drove into the overlook as he was about to get into his vehicle and leave. They pulled him from his vehicle, hit him in the face, took his wallet and camera, and fled from the area. The man was able to provide descriptions of his assailant and their vehicle, but rangers were not able to find them. The victim sustained an injury to his left eye and left wrist. The investigation continues.
