Yellowstone NP - News article from Science Daily: A 17-year University of Utah study of ground movements shows that the power of the huge volcanic hotspot beneath Yellowstone National Park is much greater than previously thought during times when the giant volcano is slumbering.


Yellowstone NP - Two new online video series premiered last month which will help visitors learn more about the park. The videos are designed to bring Yellowstone's world renowned geysers, hot springs, wildlife, and scenery to people worldwide through the park's official web site and via iTunes downloads, better known as "podcasts."

Fort Vancouver NHS - On Wednesday, February 21st, General Peter Pace, President Bush's top military advisor and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, visited Fort Vancouver National Historic Site and Vancouver National Historic Reserve as part of the annual General George C. Marshall lecture series.


NPS/LETC - Erroneous reports have been circulating within the law enforcement community about a reported failure of a Glock handgun. Please see the article for additional information and clarification.


Park Facility Management Division - Nominations are being solicited for the 2007 national accessibility achievement awards.


Training Calendar - This week's listing adds an employee relations course, physical fitness and firearm instructor training sessions at FLETC, a First Responder course, and a number of upcoming March TEL station courses on a variety of subjects - bloodborne pathogens, a FLETC legal update, planning for effective workforce utilization, elements of position descriptions, and an LE refresher.


Events Calendar - Today's listing of upcoming NPS and NPS-related events across the nation. Added are a concession management advisory board meeting in Washington and a commemoration of the Battle of Horseshoe Bend.
