Fire and Aviation Management - The first-ever NPS Fire and Aviation Management Workshop, held this week in San Antonio, Texas, came to a successful conclusion yesterday afternoon.


WASO Public Affairs - Steve Shackelton has been selected as the associate director for visitor and resource protection. Shackelton, who has been chief ranger at Yosemite National Park for the last eight years, will assume his duties in March.


Servicewide Training Calendar - A compilation of upcoming training courses offered by the NPS and its partners across the nation. Added to this week's listing are the following - an all hazards resource advisor course in Little Rock and two fundamentals of special park uses training courses (one at NCTC, one in Albuquerque).
