NATIONAL PARK SERVICE MORNING REPORT Tuesday, February 15, 2011 INCIDENTS Petersburg NBP Live Civil War Shells Found In Search Of Relic Hunter's Home On February 10th, National Park Service rangers, Fish and Wildlife Service rangers, special agents from both agencies, and two officers from the City of Petersburg served a search warrant on a known relic hunter. Numerous items dating back to the Civil War period were found in his home, including live Civil War shells. The Virginia State Police ordnance disposal unit was contacted to handle the explosives.
