Prince William Forest Park - Visitors and park staff kicked up their heels at the park's “75 Candles Anniversary Dance” on Saturday, November 12th. The big band dance brought to an end a year of special events commemorating the creation of the park in 1936.


Ocmulgee NM - Ocmulgee National Monument staff and friends celebrated the park's 75th anniversary on Saturday, December 3rd, three weeks early due to the holidays. Ocmulgee National Monument was established on December 23, 1936 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.


Joshua Tree NP - Joshua Tree National Park held its 75th anniversary employee and alumni reunion over Veteran's Day weekend.  The reunion was attended by 90 employees, alumni, and families.


Abraham Lincoln Birthplace NHP - A crowd of nearly 300 joined park staff and invited guests on Monday, November 14th, to  celebrate the centennial of the dedication of the Memorial Building and symbolic “birth cabin” at the park.


Office of Legislative and Congressional Affairs - This week's update on past and upcoming hearings, newly introduced bills, and the status of legislation of interest to the National Park Service. This report covers activities during the week ending on December 9th.
