Thousands attended the Festival of Christmas Past at Sugarlands Visitor Center near Gatlinburg and the Holiday Homecoming at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center. Conservation Study Institute - The Conservation Study Institute is now accepting applications for the Superintendents Leadership Roundtable program. They're due by December 27th. Mesa Verde NP - Merle Michael is retiring on December 31st after more than 27 years with the government. During his career with the NPS, he became a specialist in building CCC-era reproduction furniture. Pacific West Regional Office - Teresa Wright, chief of workforce management in the Pacific West Regional Office, will retire on December 30th after more than 38 years of Federal service. Golden Gate NRA - Teresa Wright, chief of workforce management in the Pacific West Regional Office, will retire on December 30th after more than 38 years of Federal service. Northeast Region - Stan Van Bremen and Rex Silbaugh will be retiring at the end of December. Each of them has worked for the NPS for over 35 years. Servicewide Training Calendar - A compilation of upcoming training courses and conferences across the nation, plus online training.
