Andersonville NHS - Inspired by researching the January 1, 1869 Emancipation Day service at Andersonville National Cemetery, park staff have made significant strides toward better interpreting African American history at the prison site and national cemetery.
Fort Pulaski NM - On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the park hosted an event to commemorate the Grand Thanksgiving Fete and Festival held in Fort Pulaski in 1862.
Northeast Region - Melissa K. Cobern has been selected as the new superintendent of George Washington Birthplace National Historic Site and Thomas Stone National Historic Site.
Northeast Region - Dr. Peter Sharpe has been selected as Northeast Region's new hydrologist. He will provide technical expertise to the region's natural resource planning and science efforts.
Servicewide Training Calendar - Added today are the following - a webinar series on developing skills in partnerships and community collaboration, this year's eastern basic technical rescue training course, and three new offerings at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
