Northeast Region - President of Ghana John Mahama visited Eleanor Roosevelt NHP on December 9th as part of the celebration commemorating the 75th anniversary of the passage of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, considered to be Eleanor Roosevelt's greatest accomplishment.


Historic Preservation Training Center - The Historic Preservation Training Center's wood crafting team, joined by two Preservation and Skills Training (PAST) program trainees, recently repaired and installed windows in the historic farm manager's house at Carl Sandburg Home NHS.


Captain John Smith Chesapeake NHT - The NPS has published a report, “Progress on the James River”, showing the many actions which have been completed in the past two years in the development of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail.


Yosemite NP - Jonathan Bayless, chief curator for Yosemite National Park, concluded his 33-year career in the National Park Service on Friday, December 27th.


Northeast Region - Stanton Hudson has been selected as executive director and superintendent by the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site Foundation's board of trustees. The foundation is a volunteer group that oversees the park.
