Tallgrass Prairie NP - The website Green Landscapes has named the Flint Hills in Kansas, home of Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, one of the top seven places in the world to view sunsets. A link is provided to a list of all seven sites and associated images.


Heritage Documentation Programs - The Library of Congress and National Park Service have announced that a drawing of a 19th-century bridge in Connecticut by New York architect Morgen Fleisig has been selected as the 2013 Holland Prize winner.


Southeast Region - Sula Jacobs has been selected as the next superintendent of Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. Jacobs has been serving as deputy superintendent of Biscayne National Park since February 2011.


Fire and Aviation Management - Susan Keys, the fire program management assistant at Saguaro National Park, has been selected as the recipient of the 2013 Jeanie Harris Award.
