Delaware Water Gap NRA - For the thirteenth year in a row, the park will close one of its principal roads to traffic in order to protect several species of spring breeding amphibians. The closures, which will take place on several nights during the month of April, are dependent on the weather.


Office of Public Health - The Office of Public Health has begun the process of revising Director's Order #83, Public Health, which contains public health guidance for the National Park Service. Your assistance is solicited.


Independence NHP - The park recently hosted a group of international educators as part of the Department of State's international visitor leadership program. They included teachers, administrators and government education officials from 16 countries. 


Office of Communications - The NPS has awarded more than $6.5 million in historic preservation grants to 147 American Indian tribal historic preservation offices to support national historic preservation programs on tribal lands. 


Fire and Aviation Management - Chad Fisher and Jim Shultz, both from the NPS Branch of Wildland Fire, were recently awarded the prestigious Paul Gleason Lead by Example Award for 2013.


Southeast Arizona Group - Bob Rogers, retired BLM special agent-in-charge for Arizona and New Mexico and a longtime NPS partner and supporter, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 24th after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
