Sitka NHP - Seventeen students transformed themselves into marine researchers during the inaugural year of Yaa Khusgé Yaaw Woogoo -- "the knowledge of Herring camp" -- a week-long marine science camp focused on Pacific herring ecology and the cultural significance of herring to the people of Southeast Alaska.


Office of Communications - On March 25th, Director Jarvis hosted his fifth Servicewide NPS employee webchat to answer your questions about NPS employee engagement. The video and transcript of the webchat are now available on the InsideNPS homepage.


Park History Program - The committee charged with implementing the Call to Action item entitled “History Lesson” has launched an easy-to-use Google site to share tools and resources that will help the National Park Service reach this goal.


Fire and Aviation Management - The National Park Service is recruiting for natural and cultural resource specialists to serve as wildfire resource advisors and on post-wildfire Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) teams. Responses are due by April 15th.
