OTHER NEWS The following stories are among those in today's webpage editions of InsideNPS (available to NPS employees only) and the Morning Report (available to all readers): Tuskegee Airmen NHS - The fifteenth stamp in the Postal Service's Distinguished American Series, which honors pioneering African-American aviator C. Alfred “Chief” Anderson, was dedicated at a ceremony at Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site on Tuesday, April 16th. Northeast Region - A Civil War study group made an exciting discovery at Petersburg National Battlefield in February - previously undocumented tunnels for placing explosives and countering possible enemy lines. Division of Law Enforcement, Security and Emergency Services - The National Park Service will again be participating this year in events during Police Week, which takes place between May 11th and May 17th. A listing of activities is provided. Golden Gate NRA - On April 16th, Golden Gate National Recreation Area hosted its first Public Safety Day at Fort Baker in Marin County, California. More than 500 people attended. Southeast Region - Brad Bennett has been selected as superintendent of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in Georgia and Tennessee, effective June 1st. National Capital Region - Jenny Anzelmo-Sarles has been selected as the new spokesperson for National Capital Region. She comes to the post from Grand Teton National Park, where she was a public affairs specialist.
