The uncle jumped in to rescue him, but quickly disappeared. A bystander saved the boy. A search is underway for the boy's uncle, 21-year-old T.H.V. of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The Chisago County Sheriff's Office was being assisted by the park, the Taylors Falls and Stacy-Lent Fire Departments, and Lakes Region EMS. At this time of year, the St. Croix River flows at about 5,350 cubic feet per second. At the time of the incident, the current was three times its normal speed and the water temperature was in the 60s due to the lateness of the spring melt.
