Office of Communications - The Marjory Stoneman Douglas House in Miami has been designated a national historic landmark. Douglas was one of the most influential environmentalists of the last century and a key player in the protection of the Everglades.


Gulf Islands NS - Gulf Islands National Seashore has joined with the University of West Florida to establish the Gulf Islands Research and Education Center. The partnership was launched with a signing ceremony on April 14th.


Air Resources Division - This week is Air Quality Awareness Week. Celebrate by learning about air resources in the national park system through a new, free, on-line class, “Air Resources in National Parks.”


Northeast Region - Kym Hall has been selected as the superintendent for Colonial National Historical Park. She replaces former Superintendent Dan Smith, who retired at the end of 2014.


Apostle Islands NL - Former Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Chief of Protection Gregory F. Zeman, 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26th.
