G-Adult salamander, having round tail and warty skin - characteristic except in the breeding season.
adult male salander
A-When the adult male salamander returns to water during the breeding season he has a smooth skin and wide tail.
young salamander
F-Newly transformed salamander with remnants of gills still visible. (X 3)
egg mass
B-Egg mass of the Pacific Coast Newt (Triturus torosus) (X 1)

newly hatched slamander
C-Newly hatched salamander 3 days after hatching. (X 3)
half grown salamander
E-Half grown; stage reached during first summer (X 3)
