Merry Christmas from Mt. Rainier National Park

Another holiday season is at hand and everyone in Mount Rainier National Park joins in wishing the readers of Nature Notes a very Merry Christmas. During the past year we have helped to acquaint many people, from all parts of the country, with "The Mountain" and the country about this old volcanoe. We hope that we may have the pleasure of renewing many of these acquaintances in the future.

The past year was witnessed many necessary improvements and new developments in keeping with National Park policies will be pushed to completion in the future so that all may have an opportunity to enjoy this region and to see and understand nature first hand. And so, with the year drawing to a close, we would like to wish you -- not only a Merry Christmas but a Happy New Year as well.

O. A. Tomlinson,
Superintendent.
