MOUNT RAINIER NATURE NOTES
Vol. VIII November, 1930 No. 12

Issued monthly during the winter months, semi-monthly during the summer months by the Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park Nature Guide Service. Publicity using extracts from these "Notes" are requested to give credit to publication and author.
C. Frank Brockman,
Park Naturalist.
O. A. Tomlinson,
Superintendent.

Excuse It Please!

We hope this month's tardiness of "NATURE NOTES" will be excused. Although the naturalist will be absent from the Park during the greater part of the winter while taking advanced work at the University of Washington, regular trips will be made to "The Mountain" in order that these Notes can go out on schedule as is customary through the winter months.

We have also, on account of our tardiness, included several articles written by Mr. L. G. Richards last summer. Although these are note exactly timely they will, no doubt, prove of interest.

One more "excuse". Economy of stationary and other materials may make necessary a reduction of size and quantity of these notes. Printing on both sides of the paper may be required also but we shall return to a higher standard again as soon as possible. (C.F.B.)
