The following sources were primarily used to create this report. Many other sources, including letters, permits, and articles, were reviewed as secondary sources. These are located in the National Park Service Archives in Seattle, the History Files at Crater Lake National Park, and in the concessionaire's own files. The primary letters and articles are listed in the End Notes for Part I. The rest of the letters and articles are secondary in importance, but help to create a complete history of the Oregon Caves National Monument as an evolving place over time. These sources do not deal directly with the Chateau, but speak of the issues related to the development of the site.
