Description:'Little Boy' type of weapon. Kind that was detonated over Hiroshima, Japan, in World War II. The bomb is 28 inches in diameter and 120 inched long. The first of its type to ever be detonated, it weighed about 9,000 pounds and had a yield equivalent to approximately 20,000 tons of high explosives (Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory) (77-AEC-60- 6281, National Archives).
