Summary:
At the above date and time, a visitor found the body of a white male
(6', 210 pounds, 25-30 years old) about two hundred yards below the
parkway near an overlook. The man had been shot twice with a small
caliber weapon, had no ID, and was found without shoes on in a sleeping
bag. The latter suggested that he had been shot elsewhere and then
dropped in the park. The FBI and Roanoke County are involved in the
investigation. A follow-up call was made to Chief Ranger Parr at 2:15 pm
on 9/22: nothing further has been determined, except that a Roanoke
night club stamp was found on the victim's hand indicating that he'd
been at that club on the night of the 20th.
