Summary:
A male who was attempting to board an aircraft at Provincetown Airport
(within park boundaries} was observed to be acting strangely, and was
halted by local police. He and his bags and boxes were loaded into a
police vehicle for transport to police headquarters. While passing
through the park, the prisoner told his captors that he had bombs in his
bags. They were unloaded in a sealed off area (the park's Beach Forest
parking lot), and a state police bomb squad was summoned. No bombs were
found. The man, who is known locally and has a history of idiosyncratic
behavior, remains in police custody.
