Summary:
As a result of an overflight by Tennessee state drug agents, a patch of
marijuana was found along the parkway. Investigation revealed that 148
plants, each about 8 feet tall, were being cultivated in the plot. Chief
ranger Pete Hart and his staff removed and destroyed the plants. There
were no arrests and there are no suspects.

Summary:
S.W. was fishing with his grandfather. He wandered away from the area and
was reported missing by his grandfather at 2:30pm. Park personnel was
notified and a search involving 16 foot searchers, and 1 mounted searcher was
initiated immediately. No helicopters were available at that time. S.W. was
found in Warner Valley at 9:30pm, 7 miles from where he was last seen. He was
in good health and was reunited with his family.
