Summary:
On the morning of March 4th, a park visitor reported finding a grave within
the park. The site, located near the salt flats on the valley floor,
contained a shallow human burial which had been partially uncovered by
coyotes. Subsequent investigation determined that the person had been killed,
and Inyo County issued a first degree murder warrant on March 16th for the
victim's son, who had fled to Oregon. The son has been arrested, a confession
has been obtained, and extradition is being pursued. It's been determined
that the murder was committed in Minnesota. The body was then transported to
the park and buried there.

Summary:
Mr. J.D.W. was westbound on Burnt Hickory Road when he lost control of his
vehicle as it approached the S-turns at Nose's Creek. The vehicle left the
road, rolled down an embankment and struck a tree, killing J.D.W.. He was the
only occupant of the vehicle. There's no indication that he was under the
influence of either drugs or alcohol.
