Summary:
Park rangers and Inyo County Sheriff's Office deputies concluded a 10-week-
long Inyo County undercover operation with the arrest of 13 employees of Fred
Harvey Company, the park concessioner, on a variety of drug-related charges.
Ten of the 13, all of whom were temporary employees of the concessioner, were
charged with felony sale and distribution of methamphetamines, LSD, cocaine
and marijuana. The arrests took place at Furnace Creek Ranch, which is on
private land inside the park. Investigation and undercover operations by the
sheriff's office are continuing.
