Summary:
Park rangers received a report that a man was having a heart attack
somewhere on a closed dirt road in the Linville Falls area of the parkway.
Park rangers and Avery County sheriff's deputies searched without success on
the 30th and 31st; early on the morning of the 1st, a deputy found
J.R.C.'s partially clothed body on a sheet in a rhododendron thicket.
The coroner's preliminary investigation indicates that cerebral hemorrhage
was the probable cause of death.
