Summary:
According to other visitors, R.J.M. had consumed a large amount of alcohol
before entering the water at the unguarded beach. A short time later his
body was observed floating face down in the surf. He was removed from the
water by guards from a nearby private guarded beach and pronounced dead at
the scene. Velusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

Summary:
Border Patrol Officers followed horse tracks leading from Santa Elena
through the park to Highway 170 north of the park. From the highway the
tracks returned to Mexico. The officers discovered 52 pounds of marijuana
in 4 nylon sugar sacks stashed in a culvert at the highway.

Summary:
Three climbers who have been on the mountain since the 9th, failed to return
from a summit climb as scheduled on the 14th. Rangers searched the mountain
by airplane on the 15th with no clues. The search was to have been expanded
today, but poor weather conditions are preventing the placement of searchers
on the mountain.
