Summary:
A park maintenance man found the body of A.T. on a ridge on
Tucson Mountain on the 20th. Alcohol and drug bottles were also found on
the scene. A.T. apparently took the substances together, then slid off
the ridge and died when her head hit upon impact. A.T. had a history of
treatment for mental illness and had tried to commit suicide several times
in the past.

Summary:
R.K., a 24-year-old native of West Germany, was on the twentieth
pitch on the nose of El Capitan when he pulled off a large flake of granite
which knocked him off the cliff and also severed his climbing rope. He fell
2000' to his death. His partner was able to climb safely to the top.

Summary:
A car was found half submerged in the Dosewallips River on the morning of
the 21st; park and Jefferson County authorities are currently looking for
35-year-old S.N.L. of Lacey, Washington, the driver of the vehicle.
S.N.L. dropped his wife and friends off at a trailhead on Friday and was to
have returned home thereafter. He has not been seen since. His wife was
located on Sunday, and she reported that her husband had been drinking
before dropping her off.
