Summary:
Some time in the early morning hours of the 2nd, an unknown vehicle,
apparently traveling at a high rate of speed, struck and completely
destroyed the Green River entrance kiosk. Evidence indicates that heavy
equipment from a nearby construction site was used to remove the vehicle
from the scene; the whereabouts of the vehicle and driver are currently
unknown. Alcohol was apparently a contributing factor in the accident. The
1 year-old kiosk will need to be completely reconstructed at an estimated
cost of $25,000. Uintah County, Utah, Sheriff's Department is
investigating.
