Incident Summary
On August 10th, R.K.H., 30, of Lakewood, Colorado, and D.F.
were climbing Lambs Slide, on Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain.
R.K.H. was near the top of the slide when he lost his footing and fell
1,000 feet down the 45 degree slope. His climbing partner climbed down to
him and found no signs of life. D.F. initiated CPR, which was
continued for two hours when the nurse aboard the Flight for Life
helicopter from Saint Anthony's Hospital pronounced R.K.H. dead.

Incident Summary
Sargent Ricardo M. Preston, 36, of the U.S. Park Police, died this morning
of an apparent heart attack during Special Events Team training at Fort
Meade. Preston, a resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was a 14 year
veteran with the Park Police. He is survived by his wife D. and 10 year
old daughter S.
