NOTES:
- Fires - Asterisk indicates newly reported fire (on this report). T1 and
T2 indicate assigned Type I and Type II Teams.
- Status - The following abbreviations are employed:
* NR - No report received * MS - Modified suppression strategy
* CN - Contained * MN - Being monitored
* CL - Controlled * None - No estimate of containment
* CS - Confinement strategy
3) ANALYSIS - Diminishing winds, cooler temperatures and higher humidities
allowed suppression forces to hold most fires and contain some yesterday.
Very high and extreme indices continue to be reported in the Northwest,
California and the Northern Rockies.
4) PROGNOSIS - Fire activity is expected to moderate because of improving
weather conditions. Mobilization of resources from other geographic areas
is nonetheless expected to continue through the weekend.
