INCIDENTS

91-638 - USS Arizona (Hawaii) - Follow-up on Pearl Harbor Anniversary 

Commemorative events began on Tuesday, December 3rd, and are continuing 
throughout the week.  The new "Remembrance" exhibit was dedicated on the 
3rd.  Yesterday, the U.S.S. Arizona Reunion Association held its program, 
after which the survivors and their guests viewed the movie at the visitors 
center then took boats out to the memorial.  Other events of the day 
included a Hawaii remembrance ceremony, a program for the U.S.S. Nevada 
Association, and a reception for dignitaries and other event participants.  
Today's schedule includes a movie showing and visit to the memorial by the 
U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation; a governor's program featuring the governors 
of the states of Hawaii, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Utah; a "Survivor's Day" 
program for survivors of the attack; and a visit from a delegation of 
Congressmen.  Western Regional Director Stan Albright and Director Ridenour 
visited the memorial yesterday.  A new telephone number - 808-471-8790 -

anniversary of Pearl Harbor, U.S.S. Arizona Memorial, HI (11/25-12/9); 
Broyles at smoke health hazard conference, Missoula, MT (12/3-12/5).
