Assateague Island NS - On January 28th, the park held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Barrier Island Visitor Center in Maryland, which will serve both Assateague Island National Seashore and Assateague State Park.


Wind Cave NP - Forty-five GPS radio collars were recently placed on elk in Wind Cave National Park as part of the fourth year of an on-going study to learn about elk movement patterns in the southern Black Hills.


Intermountain Region - Denny Sutherland, structural fire management officer for Intermountain Region, retired on February 1st after more than 20 years with the National Park Service.
